Durante il match al Madrid Open contro Navone, Holger Rune ha accusato gli organizzatori del torneo di sabotaggio, affermando che nella sua racchetta mancasse una corda. Un’accusa che ha suscitato un dibattito acceso, soprattutto quando Rune ha respinto una telecamera mentre discuteva su quanto accaduto.

Scontri con arbitro e pubblico

Il danese non è certo nuovo a certi atteggiamenti, ricordiamo quando è stato anche al centro di una controversia con l’arbitro Carlo Bernardes per una chiamata vicina alla linea. Dopo un punto contestato, i due hanno avuto un confronto verbale, con Bernardes che lo rimproverava per il suo comportamento. Il pubblico, irritato dall’azione del danese di cancellare il segno della palla, ha reagito con fischi e malcontento, continuati poi per tutto il match.

Supporto e critiche

Il comportamento di Rune, nonostante alcuni tifosi abbiano anche espresso supporto, ha sollevato ancora una volta questioni sul suo rapporto con il pubblico. L’ennesima controversia con tutti, come tante altre che hanno segnato la sua carriera, almeno finora. Il suo talento è indiscutibile, ma la gestione delle pressioni esterne e il suo comportamento in campo continuano a vacillare.
