Aliassime sparisce a poco a poco dal campo e regala altri due break al romano nel settimo e nel nono game per chiudere la contesa con il punteggio di 63 62.
Si tratta della prima volta dal 2005 in cui il Canada non ha nessuno dei propri portacolori al secondo turno dell’evento.
Per Cobolli, al contrario, al secondo turno se la vedrà con il francese Arthur Rinderknech. L’azzurro partirà con i favori del pronostico e presto potrà entrare ufficialmente nella top30 mondiale.
