Novak Djokovic è sempre più lontano dallo US Open. Le autorità americane, infatti, vietano l’ingresso nel proprio territorio ai cittadini stranieri non vaccinati. Goran Ivanisevic, direttamente dall’Atp250 di Umago, non ci sta e non è tardata la reazione dei fan su Twitter.
Vorrebbe andare più Nole o Goran?
Djokovic ha più volte ammesso che non si sottoporrà al vaccino per il Covid-19 per andare a giocare i tornei negli Stati Uniti. Il serbo si è rimesso alle decisioni delle autorità locali, ammettendo che la vita continua anche se non dovesse partecipare allo US Open.
Più scontento, almeno a parole, il suo coach Ivanisevic che, a margine del torneo Atp250 di Umago, è tornato a parlare della questione.
“È più probabile che ricevo una wildcard e vinco qui a Umago che Djokovic possa partecipare allo US Open.
Se qualcuno, una decina di anni fa, avesse detto che Nole e Rafa avrebbe superato Federer per numero di slam vinti, nessuno ci avrebbe creduto. Io ero del team opposto e credevo fermamente che l’avrebbero sorpassato. È difficile prevedere con quanti finirà Novak. Adesso gli stanno impedendo di partecipare allo US Open.
Arrivano buone notizie dall’Australia perché hanno tolto l’obbligo di vaccino per chi viene dall’estero, ma il governo ha deciso di non concedergli il visto per tre anni. Se loro sono soddisfatti così, non so come andrà a finire”.
Non è tardata la reazione dei fan su Twitter. Molti accusano il croato di dare maggior peso alla scelta delle autorità rispetto a quanto effettivamente ne dia Djokovic. Altri danno le colpe al serbo per la situazione.
“Se Nole ha detto che non sarà un grande problema non andare a New York, perché il suo coach ne parla tutti i giorni?”.
“Questa cosa sembra interessare più agli altri che allo stesso Nole. Ha preso una decisione e la vuole perseguire”.
“Djokovic ha detto fermamente che non si vaccinerà, che è un suo diritto. In ogni caso, nessun paese cambierà le sue regole, che è un diritto, per permettergli di giocare. Deve prendere una decisione lui, non gli altri”.
“La risposta è semplice per Djokovic: vaccino. Se tutti gli altri l’hanno fatto non capisco perché lui debba essere esente. Se un giocatore al centesimo posto del mondo non potesse partecipare perché non vaccinato nessuno si farebbe problemi”.

Simple answer is for Djokovic to get the Vax. If all other tennis players have had it to comply then I don’t get why any exceptions should be made. If a player was ranked say 110 in WR and they were not vaccinated and could not play would this even make the news. NO
