Andrea Gaudenzi, nella giornata di ieri, è stato rieletto alla guida dell’Atp. L’ex tennista italiano è pronto al secondo mandato consecutivo, che avrà durata dal 2024 al 2026. Grande soddisfazione per il diretto interessato e per il tennis italiano.

I traguardi di Gaudenzi

Gaudenzi, in un momento storico difficile come lo sono stati gli anni di pandemia, è riuscito a dare grande spinta al mondo del tennis. Grazie a lui sono nati OneVision, il progetto di rilancio del tennis a partire dal 2020 e che nel 2023 ha vissuto la cosiddetta fase1, e T7 Working Group, che riunisce Atp, Wta, Roland Garros, Australian Open, Wimbledon, US Open Itf, l’organismo atto a mantenere elevati standard in ogni competizione del mondo.

Tornando al progetto OneVision, più volte appoggiato anche dai più grandi giocatori del mondo come Novak Djokovic e Rafael Nadal, nel solo 2023 ha generato un incremento dei montepremi dei tornei in giro per il tour di $37.5 milioni, un record storico mai raggiunto prima.

“Sono orgoglioso di tutto quello che abbiamo raggiunto dal 2020 ad oggi, durante un periodo di grande difficoltà in tutto il mondo. OneVision ha rafforzato molto l’Atp, creando un vero e sincero legame tra i giocatori e i tornei a cui partecipano.

Adesso entreremo nella seconda fase del nostro progetto, sono molto convinto che il nostro sport sia in rampa di lancio, dovremo sfruttare al massimo tutti gli spunti e le potenzialità che ci offre l’era digitale in cui viviamo”.

Riprendendo le sue parole, l’Atp, negli ultimi mesi, ha ufficializzato il progetto Tennis Data Innovations, con lo scopo di mettere in commercio, e quindi disponibili a tutti, gli insight del tennis maschile.
