Simpaticissimo siparietto a margine dell’esordio di Rafael Nadal all’Australian Open 2023. Lo spagnolo, nella partita contro Jack Draper, ha perso per qualche secondo la propria racchetta. Il motivo? Un raccattapalle l’aveva presa e portata via per un malinteso.
Non è stato un esordio semplice per Rafa che, da campione in carica ha dovuto affrontare uno dei tennisti più in forma e pericolosi del momento: Draper. Il britannico, infatti, aveva incantato le scorse settimane a Adelaide e l’ha fatto anche per i primi due parziali.
Poi, però, è arrivato l’infortunio (forse solo crampi) che ne ha condizionato nettamente la prosecuzione della partita. Dal canto suo, Nadal ha approfittato del momento e si è portato a casa la prima vittoria della stagione di fronte al tutto esaurito della Rod Laver Arena.
