Dopo lo splendido successo al masters1000 di Miami, è finalmente arrivato il momento di poter tornare ad ammirare Sinner in un torneo sulla terra battuta. L’azzurro, che ha preparato una programmazione minuziosa per arrivare al Roland Garros (prenderà parte solamente al torneo nel Principato e ai due masters1000 a Madrid e Roma), farà il proprio esordio contro l’americano Korda. Un avversario sicuramente molto ostico, che nell’ultimo scontro diretto (Atp250 Adelaide nel 2023) l’ha battuto per due set a zero. Come vi abbiamo ricordato gli scorsi giorni, per mantenere la seconda posizione nel ranking Atp Jannik dovrà almeno confermare la semifinale del 2023. In caso contrario, tornerà numero 3 del mondo nonostante il forfait di Alcaraz a Montecarlo. L’italiano scenderà in campo nel secondo match sul Court Reinier III.
Un forfait che ha aperto le porte del paradiso a Sonego che, da lucky loser, è approdato direttamente al secondo turno, in cui affronterà il canadese Auger-Aliassime. Lorenzo non sta vivendo un periodo felice della propria carriera, ma può provare a sfruttare questa opportunità per provare a risalire la china. Il torinese farà il proprio esordio nella partita inaugurale del Court 9.
