La volée perfetta

Le volée sono colpi al volo, conclusivi, che si giocano in prossimità della rete, con l’obiettivo di chiudere lo scambio. Non tutti sono predisposti nel saper giocare al volo, dipende da coordinazione oculo-manuale, equilibrio dinamico, posizione in campo, reattività, rapidità e soluzione tattica immediata, tutte qualità che si richiedono ad un ottimo giocatore da rete. Talvolta, la volée di diritto/rovescio può esser eseguita anche da metà campo, con questo tipo di volée si impatta con la classica impugnatura con la quale si gioca il diritto/rovescio all’altezza della spalla, imprimendo l’effetto in topspin.

Impugnature

L’impugnatura utilizzata per i colpi al volo è la Continental, permette d’impattare la palla con un movimento più lineare e di avere la racchetta già in posizione aperta in modo che da poter controllare maggiormente la palla.

Preparazione

Il tempo per giocare una volèe varia tra i 400 ms. e gli 800 ms. da qui l’esigenza di una preparazione abbreviata e veloce per di movimento degli arti (minimizzando la torsione del tronco, la rotazione esterna del braccio). Quando  l’avversario sta per colpire, ci si posiziona frontalmente alla rete effettuando un saltello divaricato (Split-Step). Da questa posizione di attesa molto dinamica, con le gambe piegate e il peso in avanti, sarai in grado di scattare più prontamente verso la palla. La mano deve avere spazio di movimento durante la fase di accelerazione, fondamentale è la stabilità degli arti inferiori. Il movimento della mano è determinante per gestire al meglio le diverse altezze dell’impatto e per produrre rotazioni (Back-Spin e in Side-Spin). Prima di impattare è necessario avanzare con il piede opposto rispetto all’ arto dominante e accompagnare la palla in avanti, dall’alto verso il basso.

Gli obiettivi della volée

Sono due: sfruttare la forza della palla (volée di opposizione) e ridurre la forza della palla” (volée smorzata). Per sfruttare la forza della palla, la preparazione è minima: le mani sono vicine per tutta la durata del movimento garantendo stabilità e controllo alla volèe sia essa di diritto che di rovescio.

Per ridurre la forza della palla la preparazione anche in questo caso è minima, la mano deve avere una sensibilità non comune, tale da consentire la giusta inclinazione della racchetta. Nella sua realizzazione, apertura, movimento e accompagnamento sono brevi.

Le tipologie di volée

Volée alta

Particolare tipo di sforzo viene richiesto per colpire le palle alte sopra la testa, lo sguardo fisso su queste palle non è facile, quindi bisogna giocarla con un’azione ben controllata della spalla al momento il punto d’impatto che deve essere lontano dal corpo cosi da prendere giusto tempo e portare il peso del corpo in avanti per accompagnarla.

Volée bassa

E’ un colpo complesso, per eseguirlo correttamente occorre rimanere bassi per superare la rete. Fondamentale il piegamento delle ginocchia, con il corpo che tende in avanti. Il colpo viene eseguito dal basso verso l’alto, il punto d’impatto deve essere vicino al corpo per poter avere un maggior controllo di palla. Per indirizzare il colpo è fondamentale l’accompagnamento dal basso verso l’alto. Viene utilizzata quasi sempre come colpo difensivo, se giocata bene, con sensibilità e in profondità può trasformarsi in un buon attacco.

Demi-Volée

Si gioca subito dopo il rimbalzo sul campo, con un movimento dal basso verso l’alto. Molto importante, il piegamento delle ginocchia, la palla verrà impattata in prossimità della caviglia. Non necessariamente viene giocata in prossimità della rete, ma può essere eseguita a fondo campo, in questo caso la palla sarà colpita in controbalzo.

Volée Lob

E’ formato da due giocate, “Volée e Lob” (Pallonetto). Si gioca sia in prossimità della rete, che da metà campo per provare a scavalcare l’avversario. Il movimento è sempre dal basso verso l’alto, aprendo leggermente il piatto della racchetta.

Volée bloccata

Giocata con la finalità di contenere è il colpo dell’avversario, diminuendone potenza e velocità. Non richiede un particolare movimento, ma basta semplicemente una leggera apertura del piatto della racchetta e discreta fermezza del polso.
