Il calendario ufficiale Atp del 2024 è uscito nelle scorse settimane, ma è notizia di poche ore fa l’aggiunta di due tornei della categoria 250. Si tratta degli Atp250 di Gijon (Spagna) ed Almaty (Kazakistan). Oltre a questo, sono state definite le nuove date per le Next Gen Atp Finals 2024, che si terranno sempre a Gedda.
Gli aggiornamenti di calendario
È uscito da poche settimane il calendario della stagione Atp 2024 e già siamo di fronte ai primi cambiamenti di programma.
La nota più gradita è rappresentata dal ritorno dell’Atp250 di Gijon. L’evento sarà il quarto ospitato in Spagna (dopo il masters1000 di Madrid, l’Atp500 di Barcellona e l’Atp250 di Mallorca) e sarà l’unico sul cemento indoor. Il torneo si terrà, come nel 2022 (prima e ultima edizione vinta da Andrey Rublev) nel Palacio de Deportes e si giocherà dal 3 al 9 novembre (week45). L’altro evento in programma in quella settimana sarà l’Atp250 di Metz e saranno i due ultimi tornei prima delle Atp Finals di Torino.
Con il ritorno di Gijon, l’Atp250 di Stoccolma verrà anticipato al 14-20 ottobre (week42). In contemporanea con il torneo svedese, si giocherà il secondo nuovo evento del 2024: l’Atp250 Almaty. Quest’anno, infatti, il torneo si è giocato ad Astana (vincitore il francese Adrian Mannarino), sempre in Kazakistan, ma dalla prossima stagione il circuito si sposterà all’Almaty Arena, il palazzetto più grande della nazione. Nella stessa settimana si disputerà anche l’Atp250 di Anversa.
L’ultima novità riguarda le Next Gen Atp Finals di Gedda. Dopo la prima edizione in terra araba vinta da Hamed Medjedovic, nel 2024 ci sarà da attendere fino alla fine dell’anno per vedere le nuove leve confrontarsi tra di loro. Le date della competizione, infatti, saranno dal 18 al 22 dicembre.
