Il rovescio a due mani rispetto a quello giocato ad una mano è certamente più semplice ed efficace, almeno all’inizio, perché permette anche ai principianti – siano essi adulti o bambini – di rispondere con efficacia, ed è per questo che è preferito in tutte le scuole tennis e ad oggi trovare qualcuno che gioca il rovescio a una mano è diventato una rarità.

I due modi più comuni di impugnare la racchetta sono:
- Mano Destra: Continental – Mano Sinistra: Eastern Diritto
- Mano Destra: Eastern Rovescio – Mano Sinistra: Eastern Diritto

Vantaggi
Utilizzando questo tipo di impugnatura si ottiene un movimento molto compatto con il busto che agevola la spinta della palla, conferendo potenza al colpo.
L’impatto avviene all’altezza della spalla anteriore sopra la linea delle anche, mentre raggiungendo un livello intermedio si possono utilizzare i due polsi per giocare efficacemente colpi anche sia più arretrati che avanzati rispetto alla spalla, senza perderne controllo e potenza, conferendo inoltre versatilità al colpo. L’ esecuzione avviene con i gomiti piegati e vicini al busto.
Svantaggi
Imprime molto topspin alla palla con questo tipo di presa risulta difficoltoso a meno di grosse compensazioni di polsi che sono però tipiche solo di giocatori esperti.

Con questo tipo di impugnatura il colpo viene eseguito a braccia più distese per cui c’è minore utilizzo della spinta del busto, per effetto della presa di rovescio con la mano destra l’impatto avviene più davanti al corpo con una zona ottimale posta all’altezza delle anche.
Così è sicuramente più facile imprimere topspin alla palla , in quanto il polso destro è in una posizione migliore per un movimento della racchetta dal basso verso l’alto.
Svantaggi
Rispetto al modo di impugnare precedente, questo tipo di rovescio è meno versatile e risulta più difficoltoso impattare in linea con la spalla anteriore, per cui occorre essere più accurati nella ricerca della palla con le gambe.
Il corpo inoltre è meno compatto e su palle veloci è più difficile controbattere efficacemente.
E’ un tipo di rovescio meno penetrante del precedente, anche se la maggiore capacità di conferire effetto lo può rendere più regolare.
Preparazione
All’arrivo della palla ci si mette subito di fianco mantenendo i gomiti distesi, portando indietro la racchetta in maniera lineare e orientando la punta dell’attrezzo verso il lato posteriore del campo.
Lo slancio verso la palla avviene tenendo ben presente che la mano dominante nel rovescio a due mani è quella superiore, quindi il perso del corpo progressivamente si porta sulla gamba anteriore portando la racchetta direttamente verso la palla fino all’impatto.
Si colpisce la palla circa all’altezza del piede anteriore o poco più avanti, arrivando col piatto corde bene rivolto verso il campo avversario spingendo in avanti.
Swing
E’ il movimento nel quale la racchetta impatta con la palla. La buona riuscita del colpo dipende da una corretta base d’appoggio con le gambe piegate che preparano la spinta e con la racchetta perpendicolare al terreno (Testa della Racchetta rivolta verso il cielo), cercando lo spazio per impattare con la dovuta accelerazione (Sweet Spot) nel momento in cui la palla starà davanti al corpo. Durante lo Swing é possibile scegliere la rotazione da imprimere, infatti più la racchetta scende verso il basso più rotazione si otterrà.
Finale
Dopo aver attraversato la traiettoria della palla, le due braccia spingono la racchetta fin sopra la spalla opposta (destra per i destri e sinistra per i mancini) col gomito del braccio non dominante al di sopra del piano delle spalle e il dominante leggermente sotto, un particolare importante è la posizione della racchetta, la quale deve passare sopra le spalle perpendicolare al terreno, favorendo cosi profondità, stabilità e la decontrazione del colpo nella fase finale mentre il peso del corpo va in scarico sulla gamba esterna facilitando l’azione di rientro.
